Re-sell Your Value By Sending a Thank-You Letter!Say Thank You Don't miss out on this opportunity to re-sell yourself. Let's say the interview was great, you answered questions with confidence and enthusiasm and you think the job will be offered to you. STOP and take the time to bolster the interviewers' mental image of you. Sending a thank-you letter may be the deciding factor in who is offered the position. Don't make your letter boring, canned, or generic. Mention something about the interview, such as how you noticed the team environment, or something you forgot to bring up in the interview that will be beneficial to the company. Salary History Prove in dollars how valuable you have been to other employers by using your salary history as a marketing tool. If you do this correctly, your past promotions, increases, commissions, and bonuses can help you succeed in salary negotiations. Letter of Acceptance It is critical that a new employer's offer is in writing, specifying all terms and conditions agreed upon. This should include vacations, health benefits, bonuses, salary, and other fringe benefits. This written acceptance will acknowledge your acceptance of the conditions and "seal the deal".
